The Notebook
The Notebook is an achingly tender story about the enduring power of love, a story of miracles that will stay with you forever.
Set in North Carolina in 1946, The Notebook begins with the story of Noah Calhoun, a rural Southerner returned home from World War II. Noah, thirty-one, is restoring a plantation home to its former glory, and he is haunted by images of the beautiful girl he met 14 years ago, a girl he loved like no other. Unable to find her, yet unwilling to forget the summer they spent together, Noah is content to live with only memories...until she unexpectedly returns to his town to see him once again.
Allie Nelson, twenty-nine, is now engaged to another man, but realizes that the original passion she felt for Noah has not dimmed with the passage of time. Still, the obstacles that once ended their previous relationship remain, and the gulf between their worlds is too vast to ignore. With her impending marriage only weeks away, Allie is forced to confront her hopes and dreams for the future, a future that only she can shape.
After spending two wonderful reunion days together, Allie must decide between the two men that she loves.the story of Noah and Allie is just beginning as it unfolds, their tale miraculously becomes something different, with much higher stakes. The result is a deeply moving portrait of love itself, the tender moments, and fundamental changes that affect us all. Shining with a beauty that is rarely found in current literature, The Notebook establishes Nicholas Sparks as a classic storyteller with a unique insight into the only emotion that really matters.
I may have given too much away but it is still worth a read as there are still parts that you will need to read to get and need to read for the fact it is an amazing book that will have to forever wanting to read on.

"The Time Travelers Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger
It is rare that that a book can make me cry, but with this one i sobbed my heart out. Not only is it a twisted version of a love story but the intense lust for eachother just makes it so much worse when you come to the ending of this heartbreakingly beautiful story that is called The Time Travelers Wife.
As i read all about Henrys desire for his future wife Clare I was touched by the tenderness with which Niffenegger wove the protagonists' lives. The book is more than just a romance but a story that completely flirts with your senses and emotions. Although it may come across simple but throughout the book it is so easy to get lost due to the changing of times and figuring out the different between past present and future which may take a couple of looking over to get it but it is so worth the time to understand.
Anyway Henry first meets clare when she is 6 years of age when he is 36 and yes the title clearly gives away that he is the time traveler but not in the cool doctor who kind of way where you pick a time and place whenever you like Henry dosen't have that option and it just happens and time any place and he is gone back or forward into time. And he never ends up the most prettiest with ending up naked infront of his 6 year old wife to be doesn't sound at all perfect.
From then on little meetings and arranged times and dates to have clothes left for him the bond grew between them and soon enough they met in the present. and how much i would love to say they got married had several kids and lived happily ever after... its not going to happen. You can really see the strain that the time traveling puts on their relationship but i won't give away anymore. But will say it is a must read for everyone that is into the whole heartthrobbing storys but a word to the wise keep some tissues by your side

Great Expectations
The well known book by dickens made a lasting impression even if it was using archaic language that is very confusing. not only is the language confusing but the story line that gets lost with all the other characters storys coming out in the most random places. But i feel that the book is the type that makes you want to read on even though it took me a while to really get my head around everything. i would highly recomend this book if your into your heart throbbing story lines where you can really feel their emotions through the description of characters.
The story is very twisted in many sences from the fact that you can never tell where it is going and the most unexpected things occur. Pip who is not a fortunate boy to have the best upbringing gets everything and more after running into and helping a convict who you would never of thought played such a big part in his life. From the moment he met estella he was captured by her beauty but her personality was so off putting and the heart break begun. From the moment he was invited over to mrs Havishams to play so out of the blue that it was not just a nice guesture but a trap which he had so easily fallen into. soon into the story you find out why she had it in for pip or you could say for any man as it was her who turned estella stone cold inside. her destroyed marraige left no mercy for men to play and good part in her or her adopted daughters life.
what i really like about this story is that it is so out of the blue and the thing that happen are so unexpected but everything linked and happend as a result of something else so it wasnt hard to figure out but tested your ability enough. What i didnt like was how long it took to get interesting and it makes you feel like giving up on the book.
overall i would say definetly a book to be read and not given up on as it is such a good book and a classic that you do not want to miss.
